Group Classes

Piano Klass Kidz at Cadek

Piano Klass Kidz provides an accessible small group and one-on-one format for children ages 6 to 8 who are learning piano. This structure builds self-esteem and confidence and paves the way for traditional music lessons and beyond.

Research in early childhood music education has shown that group instruction not only imparts basic music skills, but also provides an enjoyable, stress-free environment for learning. This program enables students to learn and develop skills in a group setting, helps them connect with their peers, and serves as an excellent preparation for the next step in learning music—private instruction at Cadek.

Piano Klass Kidz Upcoming Terms
This two-year program is designed specifically for students 6 to 8 years old. Students participate in 45 minutes of weekly instruction in note reading and music development. During each class, technique, theory, repertoire, and ensemble work are emphasized. A recital at the end of each term allows students to showcase their newfound skills and achievements with family and friends.

Enrollment for each class is limited to six students, and classes are available for new and returning students.

Explore visual arts through Cadek at GPS!

Cadek is excited to add introductory visual art classes to our offerings.

  • Small group class sizes for a supportive learning environment
  • Introduction to drawing, painting, and sculpting
  • Designed for elementary girls and boys, grades K-5
  • Held on the GPS campus in the school’s art studios
Open your eyes to wonder and creativity! Is your elementary student interested in exploring the arts? Join Emily Anderson ’16 for an introduction to visual art. Ms. Anderson will guide students through drawing, painting, and sculpture techniques.

Cadek art classes are open to everyone, girls and boys, grades K-5.

Young students are naturally inquisitive, and art experiences are critically important to fostering creativity. This six-week session provides a hands-on introduction to the visual arts that can unlock creative inspiration and introduce basic visual art techniques at a formative age.

Early Childhood Music Classes

Get into that "old time rock-n-roll" with Dr. Natalie Eastman! This spring, our early-childhood music and movement classes are swinging with excitement as we dive into the world of classic rock-n-roll. Each class is designed not only to foster a love of music but also to nurture social skills, creativity, cognitive development, and the parent-child bond in a playful and supportive environment. Let's make music together – because in Cadek’s early-childhood classes, every parent is the child’s first and best teacher and every child is a musician in the making!

This class meets for 12 weeks everything Thursday from 1:00 to 1:45pm. There will be no class on Thursday, March 20 for Cadek Spring Break.

Note: If a parent, caregiver, or guardian wishes to have two children present with them, there is an option to add an additional child.
